Dear Friends,
Once again, on behalf of all members and friends of Pax Romana ICMICA Asia Pacific, I would like to express our deepest condolence to you regarding the passing away of our beloved friend and leader Patricio Rode.
We all keep good memory of him when he visited Thailand and Indonesia in December 2000, right after he was elected in Paris in 2000 and Mumbai (Bombay) and Gujarat in Jan. 2004 and at various international meeting in other continents.
It is very painful for me to simply try to figure out what would have been his last days in his life after spending several years together as an international team member to keep our movement alive and moving forward.
I would like to let you know that we, friends from Asia and Pacific, are far away from Uruguay but the sorrow and pain we experience here is not less than yours as we all have been touched by quality of his commitment and service for the Movement. We really wish you and pray for you that you will overcome the challenges and difficult time in our common faith in God who has granted him eternal peace.
We all are one united family as his friends and members and friends of Pax Romana ICMICA which has grown a lot under his leadership. I personally do believe that our continued commitment will be a way to remember his service and presence in us in a meaningful way.
We all will remember him once agiin during eucharistic celebration when we meet in Bangkok for Asian Lay Leaders (ALL) Forum in Bangkok on Dec. 3-6, 2005.
In solidarity and peace,
Anselmo LEE
Vice-President for Asia and Pacific
