Warm Greetings from Geneva!

We are pleased to introduce all of you to the new E-Newsletter of Pax Romana – ICMICA/MIIC, the new communication tool to be sent out once every two months by e-mail.

This E-Newsletter coincides with the new website of our movement, mastered by Terence Krishnasamy, and it is directly connected to it: %uri

This number zero of the E-Newsletter is a tribute to Patricio Rodé, our President of Pax Romana ICMICA/MIIC, who prematurely passed away last November 17th, 2005 when he was a very active and hopeful person of 69 years old. (Particio's Corener)

After a brilliant and fruitful career in academics, public administration and NGOs and a great trajectory of involvement in the Church, Dr. Emilio José Patricio Rodé, from Montevideo, Uruguay, had been elected President of Pax Romana ICMICA/MIIC in the 28th Assembly (Paris, September 2000) and re-elected in the 29th Assembly of Poland (July 2004). A sudden and fatal disease appeared when he was leading Pax Romana in its process of strategic reflection for the next decades.

We think this tribute to Patricio is the best way to the new beginning of the Pax Romana E-Newsletter.

El número cero de este E-Newsletter es un homenaje a Patricio Rodé, nuestro presidente de Pax Romana ICMICA/MIIC, que falleció prematuramente el pasado 17 de noviembre de 2005 a los 69 años, lleno de esperanza, ilusión y actividad.(Particio's Corener)

Tras una fructífera y brillante carrera en el campo universitario, en la administración pública y en el mundo de las ONGs y una gran trayectoria de compromiso en la Iglesia, el Dr. Emilio José Patricio Rodé, de Montevideo, Uruguay, había sido elegido presidente de Pax Romana ICMICA/MIIC en su 28ª Asamblea de 2000 en París y re-elegido en la 29ª Asamblea de Polonia de 2004. Le sobrevino una inesperada y fatal enfermedad cuando lideraba el proceso de reflexión estratégica de Pax Romana para las próximas décadas.

Sin duda, este homenaje a Patricio es la mejor manera de volver a reiniciar el E-Newsletter de Pax Romana.

Après sa vie professionnelle très brillant et fructueuse dans la domaine académique, administration publique et ONG, et aussi son engament avec l’église, Dr. Patricio José Rodé, né a Montevideo, Uruguay, a été élu comme le Président de Pax Romana MIIC durant 28e Assemble (Paris, septembre 2000) et re-élu durant 29e Assemble en Pologne (juillet 2004). Une maladie fatale et soudan apparaissaient pendant son accompagnement à Pax Romana vers la réflexion stratégique pour les années avenir.

Nous nous pensons que cette hommage à Patricio, c’est une belle manière pour recommencer le Pax Romana E-Newsletter.
