Speaking of our world as Global means that interdependence is a reality. Human society has organized itself with International Institutions to regulate development for the well being of all. But the reality we live is quite different: the poor are becoming poorer and the rich, richer. How do we overcome this unjust gap?

The response to the invitation was really pleasing, and it was a great joy to finally welcome the representatives of nine European countries to the first assembly initiated and organized by Pax Romana women on topics highly relevant for Christian females. In the opening session we agreed to follow the guidelines of the proposal programme, and so we bravely covered the extensive agenda and experienced a very compact, informative, important and interesting weekend in Prague.

Symposium of Catholic Jurists - Program

Dear friends,

Due to the exceptional situation with the Commission on Human Rights that will, most probably, last for 1 day (27th), we have been forced to cancel the Symposium. We are vary sorry for the inconvenience.

We will keep you informed.

Pax Romana will facilitate the entrance to the 62nd Session (and the last) of the United Nations Commission of Human Rights and to this Symposium, which will be a parallel-event of the Session of the Commission. Participants could attend the works of the Commission during the morning and the afternoon.

Advocacy Training for Poverty Eradication

The International Catholic Movement for Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, Pax Romana ICMICA, has been involved in the worldwide debate on sustainable development, human rights and poverty eradication. Last year, Pax Romana ICMICA joined the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Campaign and met other African stakeholders in Nairobi during the African Forum for the Global Call for Action against Poverty (GCAP).
