Global Governance, Global Justice - Africa as a Symbol and a Reality

A Call for Participation for the International Congress

Speaking of our world as Global means that interdependence is a reality. Human society has organized itself with International Institutions to regulate development for the well being of all. But the reality we live is quite different: the poor are becoming poorer and the rich, richer. How do we overcome this unjust gap?

Visit the website of this Congress, which is going to be held from 20 - 23 July 2008 in Nairobi Kenya.

First Women’s Meeting in Prague

January 20th to January 22nd, 2006

The response to the invitation was really pleasing, and it was a great joy to finally welcome the representatives of nine European countries to the first assembly initiated and organized by Pax Romana women on topics highly relevant for Christian females. In the opening session we agreed to follow the guidelines of the proposal programme, and so we bravely covered the extensive agenda and experienced a very compact, informative, important and interesting weekend in Prague.

Cancelled - Pax Romana ICMICA/MIIC Symposium

Dear friends,

It is with great regret that we inform you that our Symposium on Assessment of the Commission on Human Rights and Challenges for the Human Rights Council: Jurist Catholic Perspective (Geneva, United Nations, Palais des Nations, Friday March 31st, 2006) will not take place.

Dear friends,

It is with great regret that we inform you that our Symposium on Assessment
of the Commission on <acronym title="Human Rights: Privileges claimed or enjoyed by every human being by virtue of being human.
Due to the exceptional situation with the Commission on Human Rights that
will, most probably, last for 1 day (27th), we have been forced to cancel
the Symposium. We are vary sorry for the inconvenience.

We will keep you informed.

Pax Romana will facilitate the entrance to the 62nd Session (and the last)
of the United Nations Commission of Human Rights and to this Symposium,
which will be a parallel-event of the Session of the Commission.
Participants could attend the works of the Commission during the morning and
the afternoon.
