The written statement of Pax Romana for the 62nd Session of UN Commission on Human Rights under Agenda Item 18: Effective Functioning of human rights mechanism.
Human rights is a notion that has been determinedly evolving throughout human history. They have been intricately attached to the laws, customs and religions throughout time. But only after the utter atrocities committed during the World War II the international community changed the view on human rights, recognizing that these rights were to be proclaimed and enforced universally. In the aftermath of the Holocaust the world expressed the need for the protection of a set of inalienable human rights.

la 61ª Comisión de derechos humanos de NU que se celebrará del
la 58ª Subcomisión de derechos humanos de NU que se celebrará del 1 al 28 de Augusto de 2006.
Pax Romana-MIIC está organizando su Internship Programme - Programa anual de pasantías en derechos humanos, que tendrá lugar en Ginebra del 9 de marzo al 24 de abril de 2006 y que estará vinculado a la Comisión de Derechos Humanos de NU (13 marzo-21 abril 2006) y del 1 – 28 Augusto de 2006 para la 58ª Subcomisión de derechos humanos de (7 al 25 de Augusto de 2006). Nos complace invitarles a nombrar a candidatos a participar en dicho programa. Hasta el momento, contamos con 10 participantes para la Comisión y 6 participantes para la subcomisión. Cada coordinación regional está invitada a nombrar a dos participantes. El MIEC y otras organizaciones están asimismo facultadas para realizar un nombramiento cada una. Con el fin de seleccionar a los participantes, se constituirá un Comité de selección.

Pax Romana-MIIC organise son annuel Programme de Stage en Droits de l’homme, qui aura lieu à Genève du 13 mars au 21 avril 2005 et qui sera liée à 62eme Session de la Commission des droits de l’homme des l’ONU (13 mars – 21 avril, 2006) et du 1ere – 28eme août, 2006, qui sera liée a la 58eme Session de la Sous-commission des droits de l’homme de l’ONU (7-25 août 2006). Nous voulons inviter à nommer des participants. Jusqu’au moment, nous comptons sur 10 participants pour la Commission et 6 participants pour la Sous-commission. Chaque coordination régionale est la bienvenue à faire des nominations de deux participants. MIEC et les autres partenaires sont également invitées à faire une nomination d’un participant respectivement. Un comité de sélection sera constitué à l’objet de sélectionner les participants.
A Call for Participation for the Pax Romana ICMICA - Human Rights Internship Program 2006
The 62nd UN Commission Human Rights (9th March - 24th April, 2006) and The 58th UN Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (1st – 28th August 2006)
Pax Romana-ICMICA will organize its annual Human Rights Internship Program which will take place in Geneva from 9th March - 24th April, 2006 in connection to 62nd United Nations Commission on Human Rights (13th March – 21st April 2006), and from 1st – 28 August 2006, in conjunction with the 58th UN Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (7th – 25th August 2005). We would like to make a call for nomination for participation. This time we are expecting to have 10 participants for the Commission and 6 participants for the Sub-Commission. Each regional coordination is welcome to make a nomination of two participants. IMCS and other partners are also welcomed to make nomination of one participant for each. A committee of selection is formed to select the participants.
